Branding and webdesign for a luxurious, exotic, & experiential travel show
Luxury Bloc (LB) is an annual luxury travel event hosted in Prague and founded by Gabriela Marková. The event was created to connect two key groups within the luxury travel industry: travel agents searching for unique adventures for their clients, and representatives of hotels or destination management companies offering those experiences. The name references the event’s geographical focus, Eastern Europe, often referred to as the "Eastern Bloc."
Despite its inaugural edition taking place during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the event successfully brought together many participants (safely) and has continued to grow each year.
Compared to other projects, my role in LB was particularly extensive. I was responsible for creating the visual identity of the event, designing, developing, and managing the website, as well as producing all the printed materials required for the event.

Branding
There are many ways to approach luxury branding. For Luxury Bloc, I chose a minimal and understated aesthetic. This decision was driven by the event’s goal: to connect travel agents with a wide array of high-end lifestyle brands. I wanted the Luxury Bloc identity to serve as a platform rather than compete for attention; a clean, refined canvas that allows the showcased brands to take center stage.
To support this vision, I used a predominantly black-and-white color palette, accented with gold and complemented by a deep royal blue. For typography, I selected a classical serif typeface with elegant contrast between thick and thin strokes, paired with a modern sans-serif for balance. To evoke a sense of timeless luxury, I applied generous letter spacing to titles and headlines where appropriate.
